we were not created to worship

To paraphrase Harold Best, we were not created to worship. Rather, we were created worshiping. When we were saved, we did not start up worship. Instead, we simply began to worship the right God. This slight shift in perspective makes more sense of the idea that all of life is worship. It has also exposed a lot of idolatry in my own life. When you think of every single action and thought as an act of worship to someone or something, it's really eye-opening.
